Somatic Coaching
Our bodies are our greatest allies and wisdom keepers.
Somatic coaching is my most holistic offering. The goal of somatic coaching is how to be in better relationship with our bodies—and, from that, with the world. The main teacher I’ve followed in this work is Luis Mojica of Holistic Life Navigation, whom I work with regularly.
In somatic coaching, we discuss everything—from herbalism and nutrition, to movement, to relationships, to creativity and play. We resource the body through these aspects so the body has more capacity to rest, heal and integrate. We engage in practices of pendulation (moving from a sensation of charge to a sensation of peace/comfort), titration (touching gently into the charge), and develop practices for effective self-regulation.
I help my clients find safety through simple somatic tools. Together we work on practices that allow us to access the body’s deep wisdom, reawakening to the body and self, and studying and learning the impacts of certain choices on the body. My role is to guide you in how to self-regulate in the moment, so that you are ultimately self-aware and self-reliant (without a need for a coach).
As a practitioner, I have a special desire to work with addiction to screen, porn, food, love & relationships.
